“Our Botanical Favorites: Oils and Butters We Return to Again and Again”

🌿 Oils That Speak to Skin

In the quiet rhythm of soapmaking, certain ingredients become more than just components—they become companions. Trusted, familiar, and deeply loved, these oils and butters are the ones we reach for instinctively. They’ve earned their place not just through performance, but through the way they align with our values: healing, integrity, and intentional living.

This isn’t a comprehensive list of every oil we’ve ever used. It’s a celebration of the ones that feel like home. The ones that show up in our formulations season after season, because they continue to nourish skin, soothe spirit, and honor the wisdom of nature.

Let’s take you behind the bar—into the heart of our studio—to meet the botanical favorites that shape our craft.

🫒 Olive Oil

Olive oil is timeless. Rich in oleic acid and antioxidants, it’s deeply moisturizing and gentle on sensitive skin. We use extra virgin olive oil for its purity and skin-loving properties, especially in bars designed for calm and comfort. Its silky texture and mild lather remind us to slow down—to let the soap cure, to let the ritual unfold, and to honor simplicity.

🍇 Grapeseed Oil

Light, fast-absorbing, and full of polyphenols, grapeseed oil is a quiet powerhouse. It’s especially loved for its ability to balance oily or acne-prone skin without clogging pores. We reach for it when we want a bar to feel clean yet nourishing, and its subtle green hue adds a beautiful depth to our formulations.

🥑 Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is rich, restorative, and full of vitamins A, D, and E. It’s our go-to for mature or dry skin, adding a creamy softness to our bars. We love how it supports skin elasticity and delivers deep moisture without heaviness. It’s the oil we reach for when we want to wrap the skin in comfort.

🌾 Rice Bran Oil

Rice bran oil is gentle and full of antioxidants like ferulic acid and squalene. It’s especially kind to sensitive or reactive skin, helping to soothe and protect. We love its silky texture and how it blends seamlessly with richer oils. It’s a quiet favorite—subtle, stable, and deeply nourishing.

🌰 Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is a classic emollient. Rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, it helps soften and smooth the skin while supporting barrier function. We love its mild scent and how it lends a silky finish to our bars. It’s especially beautiful in formulations meant for daily use—gentle, familiar, and comforting.

🌿 Neem Oil

Neem oil is bold, earthy, and deeply therapeutic. Known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, it’s a favorite in bars designed for troubled or inflamed skin. We use it sparingly for its potency, but intentionally for its healing power. Its scent is unmistakable—rooted, medicinal, and grounding.

🧈 Butters That Ground and Heal
🥭 Mango Butter

Mango butter is creamy, mild, and full of vitamins A and C. It’s especially loved for its ability to soothe dry or irritated skin while adding a silky glide to our bars. We reach for it when we want a butter that feels luxurious but gentle—perfect for sensitive skin and seasonal transitions.

🧈 Shea Butter

Shea butter is our anchor. Rich in vitamins and fatty acids, it’s deeply moisturizing and protective. We use unrefined shea for its earthy scent and full nutrient profile. It’s the butter we trust when we want to offer comfort, healing, and a sense of home in every bar.

🧈 Sal Butter

Sal butter is lesser known but deeply loved. Extracted from the Shorea Robusta tree, it’s rich in stearic and oleic acids, making it both conditioning and stabilizing. We love its creamy texture and how it supports skin elasticity. It’s a quiet favorite—subtle, effective, and beautifully grounding.

✨ Why These Favorites Matter

These ingredients have earned their place through experience. They’ve shown up in our studio time and again, proving their worth in every batch. They align with our values:

• Ingredient integrity over trend

• Skin nourishment over surface-level beauty

• Ritual and care over mass production

We return to them not out of habit, but out of trust. Because they continue to support the skin, honor nature, and allow us to craft products that feel like offerings—not just commodities.
